It seems alot of blogs I've been reading lately are all located right here on blogger.com so I decided to bring back my blog from the dredges of despair and try to rekindle my love of hearing seeing myself talk.
Today marks the 3rd day of Fall and I have to say it sucks. Not in the sense that the weather was bad because contrare it was quite nice. But I miss Summer already & it's only 88 days til Christmas. Yes, I said it. I might be off on that count since I'm recalling a number someone posted on their facebook (I think) last night.
PLUS we have Halloween & Thanksgiving and a ton of Jewish & such holidays in there. In fact, Rosh Hashanah is coming up lets see.. No work is permitted. Sunset of September 28 through nightfall of September 30. Thanks http://www.chabad.org/.
So as to not leave out any other (known) holidays (in Sept) we just had Mabon on September 23, 2011. Whats Mabon? Well, this Wiccan holiday marks the fall harvest and the preparations for the coming of winter. Mabon is celebrated on the autumnal equinox. September 28, 2011 Navaratri begins. (Find explanation here..) And, there are no Catholic holidays coming up this month. I think that covers everyone's faiths (known that is). Oh wait, oh wait... (bing'ing)... apparently Atheists don't have any holidays. Bummer.
Yes... 61+4+24 = 89 days til Christmas.
